The one and only Fatathlon is LAMBO’s winter classic: a fat bike race on the groomed Shannon Lake loop with an 11-mile short course and a 21-mile long course, plus a cornhole bonus that has decided more than one podium. Shannon Lake Trail Boss Mike Olkowski and crew groom the trail for weeks ahead of race day, and the conditions are usually the best of the winter.

Street tacos, beer from local breweries, a bucket raffle, and a podium built by a LAMBO member. Everyone who finishes gets bragging rights. The oldest finisher usually gets a cheer that drowns out the winner’s.

Results and photos from past years are in the news archive. The 2027 date and registration link will be posted here and sent out in The Dirt.
